Unfortunately due to COVID-19 restrictions parents will not be allowed into the main school building. Please contact us via a phone call or email. Thank you for your understanding.

Covid-19 Statement: Swale Academies Trust is following all Department for Education (DfE) and Public Health England (PHE) advice throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. All Trust schools have undertaken rigorous risk assessment processes in close consultation with staff, Trust leaders, governing bodies, and union representatives.  Our comprehensive assessments are regularly reviewed and updated as guidance changes. All schools have put in place a number of protective measures, based on the available guidance, to manage the identified risks and protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our children, staff and families.  These measures are underpinned by the DfE guidance and are primarily based on the five essential measures of:
  • a requirement that people who are ill stay at home
  • robust hand and respiratory hygiene
  • enhanced cleaning arrangements
  • active engagement with NHS Test and Trace
  • formal consideration of how to reduce contacts and maximise distancing between those in school wherever possible and minimise potential for contamination so far as is reasonably practicable
If you wish to discuss the risk assessment approach or specific protective measures in place, please contact the school office for further information.

Welcome

Children

At Shinewater Primary & Nursery School we welcome children, their parents, carers and families into a friendly, happy and hardworking environment where respect for others, positive attitudes towards work and behaviour are encouraged and nurtured. Shinewater is a school where all children are valued and where all staff work hard to help every child reach his or her full potential. Children work in a very caring, stimulating environment and respond well to the schools positive discipline policy. ‘Where Children Come First’.

Staff & Governors

All members of staff here at Shinewater Primary & Nursery School, both teaching and non- teaching, are committed to providing a broad, balanced and relevant education for all the children within a supportive and caring environment. They seek to build the self-esteem of all children through a policy of equal opportunity. We ensure that relationships throughout the school are based on mutual trust and respect as the school strongly believes that it is through secure relationships that the children respond with positive attitudes and understanding of their work and to others.

Parents

Parents are encouraged to take part in their children’s education and are welcome into school whenever possible.

We hope you enjoy your browse around our site.
