It has long been known that play is key to the way in which young children learn and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum will be planned to provide children with a wide range of experiences, both indoors and out, through which they can gain knowledge and skills in a way that is meaningful and relevant. The aim of the EYFS curriculum is to provide children with the best possible learning opportunities. Shinewater School provides a positive, friendly and caring environment in which all children can feel valued as individuals and encouraged to do their very best. The EYFS curriculum ensures a continuous and relevant range of learning experiences for pupils.
Here at Shinewater, we are very aware that parents are a young child’s first teachers and this role does not stop when they start school. The partnership between parents and teachers is a vital one that is highly valued and encouraged at Shinewater School.
